Dorr & Baird, P.C. was founded in 1983 by Ron Baird. John Lightner joined the firm in 1984 after completing a two-year federal district court clerkship. Mark Millsap has been in private practice since 1985 and came to the firm in 1992. In 1996, the firm name was changed to Baird, Lightner & Millsap, P.C. In 2006, M. Douglas Harpool joined the practice and the firm name was changed to Baird, Lightner, Millsap & Harpool, P.C. The firm engages in a general civil and trial practice which encompasses the entire Southwest Missouri area. Firm members are active in their professional associations as well as community activities.
