Dudley B. Bridgforth, Jr. (Member) born Memphis, Tennessee, 1940; admitted to bar, 1965, Mississippi; 1984, Tennessee. Education: University of Mississippi (B.P.A., 1962; J.D., 1965). Dudley has been practicing law since 1965 and was a founding member of Bridgforth & Buntin. Throughout his legal career, he has been instrumental in advising clients on zoning, planning, land use and real estate development matters and negotiating and closing commercial and residential transactions in Mississippi and Tennessee. He also handles Estate Planning, wills, trusts and probate matters. While in law school, Dudley was a member of Phi Delta Phi, and he was the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. Taylor D. Buntin, III (Member) born West Memphis, Arkansas, 1952; admitted to bar, 1977, Mississippi and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Mississippi; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; 1980, U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee; U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Tax Court. Education: University of Mississippi (B.A., 1973; J.D., 1977). Taylor Buntin has been practicing law since 1977 and was a founding member of Bridgforth & Buntin. While in law school at the University of Mississippi, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He was a member of the DeSoto County Board of Education from 1985-1987. Taylor was the Assistant District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District from 1984-1987. Subsequently, he was the DeSoto County Prosecuting Attorney from 1989-1991. Barry W. Education: University of Mississippi (B.A., 1991); University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1994). Barry joined Bridgforth & Buntin, PLLC in 1995 after working with a large firm in Jackson, MS for a year. While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mississippi Law Journal from 1993-1994. He served as the secretary of the DeSoto County Bar Association and on the Mississippi Board of Bar Commissioners. Barry now handles a wide range of cases in DeSoto and Shelby County. Adam Bowdre Emerson (Associate) born Hernando, Mississippi; admitted to bar, 2006, Mississippi, Tennessee and U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Education: University of Mississippi (B.B.A., cum laude, 2002; J.D., cum laude, 2005). Adam is the newest attorney to join Bridgforth & Buntin, PLLC. He is a native of Hernando, Mississippi and attended Hernando High School and the University of Mississippi. While in law school at Ole Miss, he served on the Moot Court Board. After practicing in Jackson, MS for 2 years, he moved back home to DeSoto County and joined Bridgforth & Buntin, PLLC in November of 2008.
