McNamee, Hosea, Jernigan, Kim, Greenan & Walker, P.A. was founded as McNamee & Hosea, P.A. in 1982. The founders had been partners in the law firm of Beatty and McNamee (Hyattsville, Maryland) which Mr. McNamee co-founded in 1955.

On December 1, 1988, it merged with Milton Jernigan and Associates, P.A., a corporate firm founded in 1982. This merger expanded the firm's expertise into the areas of franchise law and banking law.

In January, 2002, McNamee Hosea merged with the Greenbelt offices of Greenan, Walker and Billman (Billman remained independent, practicing in Annapolis) bringing in two new partners, James M. Greenan and Thomas E. Walker and adding areas of expertise in bankruptcy law, business litigation, professional liability and personal injury law. Mr. Tracy was named principal in January 2006.
