The Hospital and Health Care section deals with all aspects of health care law and hospital operational issues including patient care issues, risk management, fraud and abuse, and corporate compliance issues, hospital/physician relationships, medical staff credentialing and bylaws, contracts, employment and personnel matters, governance, corporate, tax, regulatory, and transactional issues.

The firm's Litigation practice is concentrated on medical malpractice defense, general liability defense, medical staff and credentialing litigation, and employment related litigation, including representation of physicians before the Maryland Board of Physicians, defense of claims arising out of prison health services, and employment related litigation such as wrongful discharge and discrimination claims.

The Public Finance section deals with the issuance of tax exempt bonds and related issues, representing borrowers and underwriters primarily in the areas of healthcare and education.

The Business and Corporate Law section counsels corporations and other business entities, including physician practices, on a variety or organizational and business issues, including formation, contract negotiations, employment matters and real estate transactions.

The Employment Law section includes counseling employers regarding wage and hour issues, wrongful discharge claims, family and medical leave, discipline and termination, and equal employment opportunity and civil rights matters, including Title VII and the American with Disabilities Act.

The firm's members are admitted to practice in the courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.
