Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer. We reached out to John when we had our house under contract and were suddenly informed that the sellers were backing out after we had made several difficult-to-reverse changes in our lives. John was attentive and understanding of our emotional state and explained what the process would look like. John drafted an email and within a few hours the sellers said they would be moving forward. We are so very grateful. Due to this experience, we immediately started working with his firm on other matters we've been looking to prepare, like setting up a trust.
An extremely thorough, professional, and brilliant lawyer. John was able to sift through a large amount of research to understand the big picture at hand. He helped our association figure out an extremely complex land use situation and his findings have set us on the path to success. John was fantastic to work with and extremely responsive -- I could not recommend him more!
I found John very informed and very helpful towards our unique legal problem. He's a very ethical person, and I have a deep respect for him.
I can't say enough good about my experience with John. I was in the middle of a painful issue concerning my home and he was of immeasurable help. John Bannon is generous and honest and I heartily recommend him.
I was referred to John by a colleague who recommended him as a "gentleman bulldog" and a "lawyers' lawyer". John is tenacious and unflagging in his work for his clients. One senses the respect and even deference of other parties dealing with him. They admire his legal expertise and skill at negotiation; they value his collegiality; and they think long and hard about litigating against him and his clients. Fighting City Hall in a zoning matter, John has been a superb advocate. Thanks, John.
Embroiled in a miscarriage of zoning justice, I was referred to John Bannon by another attorney who called John a "gentleman bulldog" and a "lawyer's lawyer". In relying on John's advocacy, I have learned what this meant. He litigates when he must; he negotiates when he can; my best interests are his first consideration. Bannon is tenacious, tough, smart, and successful. Frankly, his excellent reputation precedes him in a way that truly benefits his clients as it gives his adversaries pause.
Mr. Bannon used his remarkable skills and knowledge of land use law to craft a persuasive letter leading to the sustaining of Freeport's zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan against a determined effort to revise them in favor of commercial development in the town's rural residential areas. Without his extensive and exhaustive efforts, we would have been hard pressed as residents and taxpayers to rebuff the requested changes. Thank you, John Bannon.
John Bannon did an outstanding job of researching and dealing with a problem that our community faced in fighting a zoning change that could have resulted in much damage to one of our neighborhoods in Freeport. His excellent work resulted in the town government changing their effort and voting with the citizens of our community. John's efforts were the difference in saving our neighborhood.
Mr. Bannon is very thorough in his approach both in research and details of the matters at hand. He was wonderful to work with - always got back in a timely manner and put his heart into his work. Mr. Bannon is extremely knowledgeable in his field - I wouldn't have wanted anyone else handling our case.
John was the perfect lawyer for our complex and difficult case involving an appeal before a local zoning appeals board. His vast experience and knowledge of shoreland zoning law commanded respect even while his demeanor was calm and patient. He knew exactly when to hold back and when to come forward to make his point about the law. John cares about and delivers exceptional service to his clients.
