Known as a "fighter for little people", Mr. Berman spent the next 53 years of his life in the courtroom. Mr. Berman became widely known as the trial lawyer of choice for people throughout Central Maine. He died in 1967, shortly after turning over the reins of his litigation practice to Jack Simmons.
