Education: Xavier University (B.A., 1998); Wake Forest University (J.D., 2001). A native of Indianapolis, Michael is a partner in the litigation firm of Borland and Gaerte, P.C. Michael concentrates the vast majority of his practice in criminal defense, at both the trial and appellate level. Michael received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following his undergraduate studies, Michael graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Michael is currently a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well as an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association. He is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Indiana, United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana and the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
