Mr. Colvin was appointed by the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission, which regulates and enforces the Rules of Professional Conduct, the mechanics of legal ethics. He served as chairman of the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission. He also was a member of the Board of Governors for the Indiana State Bar Association and chaired its Trial Lawyers Section. In 2003-2004, he served as President of the Indiana State Bar Association. Mr. Colvin also serves as an attorney member of the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission and Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications.He is a board member of the Allen County Courthouse Preservation Trust, the Allen County Library Foundation, the Fort Wayne Parks Foundation, and Heartland Chamber Chorale.
