(Main Office)
The firm has been providing legal services to individuals and businesses throughout the state of Indiana for more than 75 years. The firm was established in 1934 by Hugh J. Baker, as Binkley and Baker. Through the generations its practice has remained constant in the areas of Estate and Business Planning, Elder Law, and Civil and Criminal Litigation.
Knowles & Associates P.C. uses a team approach for the provision of high quality yet cost-effective legal services designed for clients whose assets range from modest to very substantial. We help clients save money and taxes through estate planning, business succession planning and Medicaid planning.
The firm also accepts employment for the purpose of protecting the rights of individuals, families and businesses through litigation. Our mission is the acknowledgement of God by the application of Christian principles and ethics with respect to each client we represent.
OUR CREDENTIALS:
The firm is rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers for it's high professional legal standards and ethics.
OUR TEAM APPROACH:
One of the things that sets Knowles & Associates P.C. apart is its team approach. Instead of one lawyer working with a case, all lawyers and appropriate staff take an interest in and participate in the development of each case as needed, which results in lower rates for overall time billed.
Our charges reflect the lower overhead and efficiency of a small firm.
The firm does not plan to grow in size by great measure as it believes, that by limiting its areas of practice together with the implementation of modern technology, it has the ability to compete with all other firms in the services it provides.
OUR BILLING:
We explain our billing before our contractual representation begins. We keep you informed of the work performed and the charges due on a regular basis. You may elect to pay for fees on a hourly rate, flat fee basis or some combination thereof.
CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION:
Our office and legal staff attend professional seminars on a regular basis. Our lawyers have served as instructors at Indiana University and Indiana Wesleyan University.
FLEXIBLE MEETING SITES:
Sometimes clients prefer to meet at another location. We are willing to meet with you at your home, business, hospital, extended care facility or wherever and whenever you prefer, in order to be responsive to your needs.
SEMINARS FOR CLIENTS:
To make sure our Estate Planning clients have an opportunity to learn about current topics, and to keep current on the law, we offer free bimonthly seminars to clients.
