The new Illinois DUI Law can be viewed at page 9819 of the Illinois Register, volume 32, issue 28. Under the new law JDPs (Judicial Driving Permits) will no longer be offered. However, first time DUI offenders who lose their license will be eligible for MDDPs (monitoring device driving permits), which will require them to drive vehicles equipped with breath alcohol ignition interlock devices (provided at offenders cost).
