(Main Office) The Daggett Law Firm was founded in 2004 as an Environmental Law Boutique. It spun-off from the environmental practice of a 200-attorney litigation firm to provide clients highly experienced environmental legal counsel with an ability to control fees in ways that are difficult for larger law firms. With over 30 years of environmental law experience and academic degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering as well as Law, we pursue solutions that will maximize environmentally beneficial results at the lowest cost necessary to comply with regulatory and cleanup requirements. The Firm's reputation among other environmental lawyers is shown by its selection by its peers for membership in the Leading Lawyers Network. The Firm handles: 1) complex environmental litigation on damages, remediation, insurance & enforcement as a member of the bar of U.S. District Courts in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, with pro hac vice admissions elsewhere; 2) business and real estate transactions that involve substantial environmental liabilities; and 3) judicial and administrative proceedings involving government regulatory agencies. The firm also regularly provides other law firms environmental co-counsel or consultation for their clients' litigation or transactions due to their firms' lack of attorneys devoted to environmental law, conflicts of interest, or their need for Chicago or Midwest counsel. The Firm has achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell. Statement of PracticeEnvironmental Law, Brownfields Redevelopment, Litigation, Toxic Torts, Regulatory Compliance.
