Lisa A. Owen, a partner at O’Neal Heikkila Owen, brings 30 years of family law experience to clients across the state of Georgia, including but not limited to Fulton, Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, Henry, Hall, Forsyth, DeKalb, and Gwinnett counties. She handles divorce, child custody and support, legal separation, domestic violence, and adoption matters, and has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through trials, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals.
Known for her thorough preparation and strategic approach, Lisa guides clients through emotionally challenging situations with clarity and confidence. Her work is defined by meticulous research, strong advocacy, and steady dedication.
Before entering private practice, Lisa served as a staff attorney for judges in Florida and Georgia, including U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas B. McCoun III and Cobb County Superior Court Judges George H. Kreeger and James G. Bodiford. She studied at University College, Oxford, earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University, and graduated Cum Laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1996. She is admitted to practice in Georgia’s State and Federal Courts and before the Supreme Court of the United States. She remains active in the legal community through multiple bar associations and professional organizations.
