Hired Attorney

I mortgaged my house to pay this woman’s legal bill—and still can’t believe what happened. Who charges $75,000 in six months to defend a simple alimony and child support modification? I’n not a corporation. Just a regular, single mom. And yet somehow, this attorney ran up a bill that would bankrupt most people—without warning, without restraint, and without delivering results that justified the cost. There were no trials. No major victories. Just she and her son DREW with the endless billing, brief filings and court appearances that served their bottom line more than my best interests. When I expressed concern, I was met with gaslighting and veiled threats about what would happen if I didn’t keep paying. I trusted her. I believed she would protect me. Instead, I was financially drained and left holding the bag—literally, with a second mortgage. My advice? Run. You deserve a lawyer who respects both you and your financial reality.
