Michael I. Fistel (Partner) admitted to bar, 2001, Georgia. Education: Florida State University (B.A., 1998); New England School of Law (J.D., 2001). Michael I. Fistel, Jr. is a partner of the firm. Mr. Fistel attended Florida State University as a Florida Undergraduate Scholar, where he graduated with a degree in English Literature with an emphasis in business administration. Mr. Fistel then obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received the CALI award for excellence and graduated in the top 20 percent of his class. Mr. Fistel devotes his practice to representing investors in class action litigation asserting claims for violations of the federal securities laws, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as well as shareholder derivative litigation alleging state law claims for breaches of fiduciary duties in the corporate governance context, and consumer class action litigation. Corey D. Holzer (Partner) born 1973; admitted to bar, 1998, Georgia. Education: University of Florida (B.S., Journalism, cum laude, 1995); Emory University School of Law (J.D., 1998). Corey D. Holzer is co-founder and a partner of the firm. Mr. Holzer graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, where he graduated second in his class in the College of Journalism and Communications. Mr. Holzer then obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Emory University School of Law, where he was selected as a finalist in Moot Court competition. Mr. Holzer represents individuals and institutional investors in litigation alleging violations of the federal securities laws, breaches of fiduciary duties under the laws of various states, as well in class action under the federal antitrust laws and state consumer protection laws. Mr. Holzer has an in-depth understanding of the rights and privileges of investors and consumers and is driven by a strong desire to provide personalized representation and counseling to victimized investors and consumers. Gilbert S. Holzer (Partner) born 1946; admitted to bar, 1973, Quebec; 1978, Georgia. Education: Sir George Williams University (B.A., with honors, 1968); McGill University (B.C.L., 1971; LL.B., 1972). Gilbert S. Holzer is co-founder of the firm. Mr. Holzer received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in political science and economics from Sir George Williams University (now Concordia University) in Montreal, Quebec. He then obtained his Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University in Montreal, where he graduated second in his class. Thereafter, Mr. Holzer obtained his Bachelor of Laws from McGill University where he graduated first in his class. Mr. Holzer served on the Editorial Board of the McGill Law Journal and on its Moot Court Board, and also served as counsel to the Judicial Committee, which represented the student body of McGill University. Upon his graduation from law school, Mr. Holzer co-founded the law firm of Salomon, Holzer & Mager in Montreal, Quebec, concentrating his practice in civil litigation. After he moved to Atlanta, Mr. Holzer practiced law with Arnall Golden & Gregory LLP. He later formed his own general practice, and ultimately co-founded this firm with his son, Corey D. Holzer. Mr. Holzer is a former member of the Bar of the Province of Quebec and a current member of the State Bar of Georgia. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. William Stone is an associate of the firm. Mr. Stone graduated with honors from the University of Georgia's Honors Program before completing law school at Georgia State University. While at the University of Georgia, Mr. Stone studied political science and history. Mr. Stone published an honors thesis on U.S. and European Union antitrust law enforcement. Mr. Stone also received awards for earning the highest grades both in his Research, Writing, and Advocacy and Criminal Law courses in law school. Mr. Stone clerked for the Honorable J. Antonio DelCampo, the American Civil Liberties Union, and formerly was an associate attorney at Webb, Klase & Lemond, an Atlanta law firm concentrating in complex litigation. Dees is an associate of the firm.
