Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Doug is an outstanding attorney, the best employment attorney I have worked with in my 30 years of executive leadership. He is an excellent communicator, very understanding, and a very determined advocate. Highly Recommended.
Excellent Service - Thank you!! I highly recommend Mr. Kertscher, he was incredible, resourceful, polite and professional. He helped me with all the legal matters I was going through at the time. I highly recommend him for your legal needs.
Mr. Kertscher was spectacular!! From the very beginning he made sure that I understood what was happening with my case and helped explain any questions or concerns that I had. Extremely professional and friendly. If you want a fighter, he’s your guy. He comes highly recommended and after handling my case, I can see why. Well pleased with everything. 10 out of 10 stars!!
Doug took the time to listen when we first met. I was not just "Another appointment" as he took the time needed to learn about my case, researched case law, and responded in a way that I was comfortable with the other party. Because of what Doug and his team did he was able to respond in time (I only had 5 days to respond) and his response resulted in the other party walking away because they knew he was right and they were up against a well informed Lawyer and Law firm.
Working with Doug was a great experience. After first selecting him he was very responsive and accommodating with timelines to get started. When speaking with Doug he always made sure to take the time to completely understand what I was saying at all times. He provided prompt responses and updates through out the entire process and always took my goals into consideration before doing anything. I would highly recommend Doug for any Labor and Employment related issues.
I hired Doug to resolve an employment contract dispute and failed to receive, not just the experience or representation promised, but also the honesty and good faith foundational to any acceptable representation at all. Doug misled me in the final weeks of my case by (a) omitting critical information essential to its proper resolution after (b) forcibly prompting agreement to a course of action of his choosing by (c) threatening to withdraw from his representation of me at the most in opportune time. This took place (d) just days before the deposition of the most critical adverse witnesses (and a few weeks before the expiration of discovery), which (e) Doug steadfastly refused to conduct. Aside from this, Doug persistently engaged in odd displays of self-promotion when mistakes were highlighted and allowed his emotions to overwhelm his judgment and fundamental provision of basic client service.
After mishandling my case, Doug suggested I petition the fee arbitration committee of the Georgia State Bar and file a complaint against him if I wished to recover a portion of the attorney fees I disputed. I followed his advice within one month and, crucially, notified Doug of this. Due to a significant backlog, the committee did not review my petition for nearly one year, which then prompted Doug to falsely claim that, because it had been one year and he had no notice of my intent to file a complaint for recovery of any fees, he did not agree to participate in the process (that he himself earlier offered and I promptly accepted and notified him I would seek). Not only does Doug provide poor representation and not live up to his promises exaggerated and oversold up front, but he then misleads his client and suggests a process he has no intention of following. Worst of all, he is willing to lie to the Georgia State Bar to get himself out of having to face any consequences.
