(Main Office)

The Berman Law Firm, P.A. was established in January 1998. Mr. Craig L. Berman is the sole shareholder in the Firm and also serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. The Firm concentrates most of efforts on behalf of current and former employees in disputes with employers. The Firm also counsels a select group of employers which appreciate the unique perspective that a plaintiff's lawyer can provide in defending against meritless claims.

Since graduating law school in 1992, Mr. Berman has litigated numerous cases to verdict and judgment and has also handled a number of successful appeals in both State and Federal Court, including the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In October 2002, a jury awarded one of the Firm's clients a significant jury verdict of $495,000.00 in an action under the American with Disabilities Act. Although the trial court vacated the jury's verdict, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the jury's verdict in full.

Mr. Berman is a member of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyer's Association and is a frequent presenter at its semi-annual conferences. The Firm not only tries cases to verdict, but handles appeals for other lawyers whose clients have been denied the right to trial by jury. Mr. Berman prefers to operate a boutique in which he actively represents and counsels each client of the Firm throughout the entire litigation process.

Before founding the Firm in 1998, Mr. Berman worked as an associate with firms who practiced both plaintiff-side and defense-side employment litigation. In these positions, Mr. Berman acquired extensive knowledge of employment law and developed trial advocacy skills. During law school, Mr. Berman clerked for a plaintiff's side employment law firm and published a law review article in the South Carolina Law Review titled "Whistleblower Protection: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," 43 S.C.Law Rev. 215 (1992).
