(Main Office) Firm's present focus is on personal injury and wrongful death cases, civil and criminal litigation, family and elder law, estates and probate. The firm was founded in 1985 by Mike Stone, an experienced personal injury litigator, and Pam Sutton, a veteran of civil and criminal litigation. Until 1992, in addition to working for the firm, both partners served part-time as Assistant Public Defenders, specializing in death penalty litigation and co-authoring two chapters of the Florida P. D. Association Death Penalty Manual. In 1993, the firm was featured on CBS-TV's 48 HOURS for winning the acquittal of a teenager suffering from Battered Child Syndrome, who was tried for first degree murder in the shooting death of his father. The partners have lectured on various topics, including Battered Child Syndrome, child abuse, investigation techniques, elder law, and legal ethics at conferences and trainings sponsored by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps JAG, the Florida P. D. Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, local elementary schools and nursing homes.
