Ann Howard Banzet (Associate) born Henderson, North Carolina, January 30, 1970; admitted to bar, 1995, North Carolina; 2005, Florida; U.S. District Court, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina. Ms. Banzet graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University, with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English in 1995. Upon graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, Ms. Banzet began her legal career in a North Carolina general practice firm, focusing on a real estate planning, state tax issues, contract disputes, corporate and domestic law. She spent two years as a title insurance attorney, first as Vice President and Branch Manager of Lawyers Title of North Carolina's Wilmington office, and next as Vice-President and Raleigh Counsel at Fidelity National Title. In 2004, she received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida and relocated to Southwest Florida. Since that time, her private practice focus has been on estate planning and probate, aviation law, and business entity work, including general corporate law, contracts and corporate taxation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Banzet had her own, firm, working primarily in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
