Biography
Joy P. Behan is an associate attorney at Henrichsen Siegel. Mrs. Behan Focuses on the firm's commercial litigation practice, as well as employment law cases. Mrs. Behan is a member of the Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bar Association. During law school, Mrs. Behan was a summer associate at the law firm of McConaughay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver, where she gained valuable inside-track expertise in insurance defense and employer defense civil litigation. Mrs. Behan also completed a practicum program assisting the Honorable Edward Lukemire in the Houston County Superior Court in Perry, Georgia, as well as a practicum with the Bibb County District Attorney's Office in Macon, Georgia. Through each of these experiences Mrs. Behan garnered the analytical, research, and writing skills necessary for effective litigation. Mrs. Behan received her B.A. in International Affairs and French from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. While at Mercer, Mrs. Behan served as the president of the International Law Society, participated twice in the International Trademark Association's moot court competition, and volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Georgia.
