Reviews for Patrick
Have you consulted or hired this lawyer?
Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Patrick Burns accomplished exactly what we needed him to do in regards to the BK and child custody. He was upfront and honest with us. He understood our financial position and has been willing to work with us. We are very pleased with his service.
I have filed an official complaint about this lawyer. Patrick withheld imperative information from us that cost us our home and equity. One year later when asked to verify his original statements, he gave us the exact opposite information for the same case and question, apparently because there was a deal involved that he then said he could negotiate for us and help us get more money.
I initially hired Erick Hansen with the expectation that he would represent me. Instead, my matter was reassigned to Patrick Burns without my consent, which felt like a bait-and-switch and immediately raised concerns. From the outset, Mr. Burns’ communication style was abrasive and, at times, demeaning. He repeatedly stated that I was “unlikable” and told me that I should allow others to lead, comments that were made consistently and without constructive purpose. I found these remarks unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly given that I was seeking legal representation, not personal. In a mediation-related meeting, Mr. Burns did not advocate on my behalf or intervene when the opposing party acted in a disrespectful manner toward me and my agency. He remained largely silent while I was left to speak for myself, which created an uncomfortable and unsupported environment. Rather than managing the process or protecting his client’s interests, the situation was allowed.
