We represent clients from all major industry groups, including general manufacturing, communications, public utilities, health care, transportation, construction, defense, retail and hospitality, agriculture, and banking and other financial services. The firm is engaged in a general business practice including litigation, corporate and securities, intellectual property, energy and public utility, health care, labor and employment, commercial financing, bankruptcy, municipal law, public finance, real estate, state and federal tax, corporate and environmental compliance, employee benefits law, and estate planning and settlement. A substantial number of the firm's lawyers handle civil litigation in all major areas of commercial litigation, including bankruptcy, employment, environmental, covenants not-to-compete and trade secrets, construction and tort and product liability. Murtha Cullina LLP is the only major law firm in Connecticut that represents policyholders in disputes with insurance companies over property/casualty insurance coverage. The International Business Practice Group collaborates with all of the firm's practice groups, including its Islamic Banking & Finance practice. The firm has devoted special attention to the interests of our U.S. clients doing business outside the United States as well as to protecting the U.S. interests of foreign companies.
