Biography

Represents private and public sector employers exclusively before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in discrimination, wrongful discharge, and other employment-related actions. Counsels employers in labor and employment matters and regularly advises management on ways to resolve conflicts or avoid litigation or administrative proceedings in these areas. Represents management in a wide range of labor law matters. In his labor experience, Dan has negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements for towns and boards of education and has handled matters through binding interest arbitration. Negotiated with a wide variety of bargaining groups, including but not limited to teachers, administrators, non-certified staff, white collar employees and police. Handles various matters for school districts including grievance arbitrations, teacher terminations, Freedom of Information matters, unfair labor practice charges, transportation and residency hearings, and employee and student disciplinary matters. Advises clients regarding record-keeping, I-9 compliance, employer sanctions and immigration-related anti-discrimination provisions.
