Sara's practice is primarily dedicated to handling all facets of employment law. She works with individuals who have experienced discriminatory treatment and or retaliation on the basis of sex, race, religion, age or disability under federal statutes including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, FMLA, as well as the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act and assists companies with statutory compliance. Her work extends to resolving wage disputes relating to unpaid wages and commissions and overtime requirements. She is also adept at handling matters concerning unfair competition, including non-compete agreements and trade secrets. She also deals with employee benefits issues arising under ERISA. In addition to litigation and negotiation of employment-related matters, she counsels individuals and companies on employment-related issues. Outside of the employment arena, she handles general breach of contract issues in commercial litigation. Sara Yelton obtained her law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2005.
