Randall Knox is a trial lawyer with a practice that is primarily criminal defense. Mr. Knox is a former San Francisco prosecutor and is a certified by the State Bar of California as a Criminal Law Specialist.

As a civil litigator, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex corporate, civil rights and personal injury cases. With over 80 criminal and civil trials in state and federal courts, his cases have been featured in publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Examiner, the San Francisco Recorder and San Francisco Daily Journal legal newspapers and Jury Verdicts Weekly.

An experienced white collar crime defense attorney, Mr. Knox has tried cases in both federal and state courts, including charges of bank fraud, wire fraud, theft of government funds, embezzlement, insurance fraud and bribery. In 2007, Mr. Knox, defended a San Francisco city official charged with 33 counts of bribery, perjury and fraud. Following partial acquittals at trial, the remaining charges were dismissed. Only one of Mr. Knox' six murder defendants has been convicted of a crime greater than involuntary manslaughter. His past clients include professionals, business people, city officials, police and federal agents, prisoners, career criminals, indigent defendants, corporations and municipalities.

Mr. Knox currently serves on the San Francisco Board of Appeals as President, reviewing land use, permit and licensing appeals from city agencies. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Bar Association of San Francisco, he has worked with the Schools to College program and the minority retention study.

Mr. Knox has taught at Hastings College of the Law, for the Bar Association of San Francisco and others. He has also written and graded state bar specialization and law school examinations. His publications include articles on corporate criminal liability and a self-help manual for prisoners. Mr. Knox has also served as a trial consultant.
