Accepts Credit Cards (Main Office) The Ullrich Law Firm is currently a solo practice of Donald William Ullrich, Jr. Established in August of 1993 after Mr. Ullrich left the employ of Desmond, Miller & Desmond as an associate attorney, the Ullrich Law Firm has provided quality legal services to clients who could not afford more expensive representation and who wanted greater access to and more individualized attention by their attorneys to them and their legal affairs. Many people and businesses find the cost of legal representation either unaffordable or financially burdensome. Mr. Ullrich's practice is geared to representing such people and businesses by offering them quality legal services at a lower overall cost to them than can be usually obtained elsewhere for similar services. Mr. Ullrich also has clients who were unsatisfied with their previous experience of more expensive legal representation. Mr. Ullrich has found that he can compete with higher priced lawyers and law firms on both price and quality by keeping his practice small, by being sensitive to costs, and by being highly accessible to his clients. If a particular case or transaction requires more effort than can be reasonably provided by a small staff such as with complex litigation or complex transactional matters, the Ullrich Law Firm with the consent of the client will contract out for additional services on an as-needed basis, or, if need be, will associate with other attorneys or law firms, again, with client approval. A typical client of Mr. Ullrich begins with one legal matter but then usually has Mr. Ullrich represent them with respect to all of their legal matters over a broad spectrum of practice areas. A significant portion of Mr. Ullrich's clients are referrals from other clients. With respect to his litigation practice, Mr. Ullrich represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Ullrich has represented litigation and transactional clients throughout California and other states. He has had cases in different counties and federal district courts in California. He is willing to travel. Some clients he has never met personally and knows them only through internet communications. The Ullrich Law Firm does have video-conferencing capability and provides clients with electronic support systems for both trial and transactional work. Most of Mr. Ullrich's attorney-client contracts are time-and-task based fee arrangements and in some cases use is made of periodic retainers geared to the client's budget. Mr. Ullrich endeavors to provide his clients with below-market hourly rates for attorney services given his education and experience. Occasionally, depending on special circumstances, Mr. Ullrich will consider contingent fee or part hourly fee/part contingent fee representation with respect to plaintiff litigation; however, representation on such a basis is rare for him to do.
