Mr. Durbin served as the National Delegate for the Federal Bar Association, San Joaquin Chapter in 2006 and 2007, as President in 2005, and as a member of the Board of Directors in 2000-2007. He was the co-chair for the 2001 and 2003 Judicial Conferences for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California. Mr. Durbin has also served on the Judicial Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California from 2005 through 2013 (Chair 2010 to 2013).
Mr. Durbin served as a trustee on the board of trustees for San Joaquin College of Law from 2004 to 2019, and previously served as adjunct professor of law in the areas of contracts and federal courts with San Joaquin College of Law.
