(Main Office)
Suzanne Curtis opened this firm in 1997, and since then she has focused upon providing excellent service to clients on an individualized case by case basis. Clients of this firm deal directly with the lawyer, Suzanne Curtis, and never with paralegals or other support staff. Suzanne Curtis prepares all legal documents and makes all court appearances. Because only one person, a lawyer, does every step of the legal work, clients of this firm have the benefit that their lawyer is always up to date with their case. Careful attention is paid to each and every document that is filed with the Court.
Suzanne Curtis is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a licensed Attorney. There is a very limited number of persons licensed in this state with both of these credentials. Because of this, clients have the obvious advantage in any and all business cases of having an attorney with a significant business and accounting background. Prior to becoming an attorney in 1997, Suzanne Curtis had over 20 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant working in accounting and finance.
While this law firm takes cases of all sizes in family law, the firm specializes in divorce cases in which the community property includes a business that must be considered. Clients with such community property issues have an advantage with this law firm because their lawyer is credentialed with a significant accounting and finance background. Suzanne Curtis has over 10 years of experience in family law, including difficult child custody cases, paternity cases in which the parents have never been married, dependency cases in Children's Court. This firm is very experienced in restraining orders, using an approach that is highly individualized to the client.
The firm handles business and other litigation cases in both state and Federal Court. Litigation areas include not only business and contract disputes, but other matters, including representation before the IRS. Suzanne Curtis handles general disputes from neighbor disputes to collections to employment litigation. In addition to business litigation, the office also handles non-litigation business matters, such as formation of corporations and limited liability companies and partnerships. The firm is particularly suited to drafting contracts of all kinds.
Because Suzanne Curtis is both a Certified Public Accountant as well as an Attorney, the firm is particularly suited to representing clients in accounting malpractice cases as well as legal malpractice cases.
Practicing in both Federal and State Court, the firm handles cases for clients from all over California and the United States.
