Firm Profile:
Rose Law Firm, a Professional Association, traces its origin from the partnership formed November 1, 1820, before Arkansas' statehood by Chester Ashley (1791-1848), later a U.S. Senator, and Robert Crittenden (1797-1834), Arkansas' first Territorial Secretary. "Rose" first appeared in the firm's name in 1865 when U.M. Rose (1834-1913) joined George C. Watkins (1815-1872), an early Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court and previous partner of Ashley. Rose was a founder of the American Bar Association and was elected its president in 1900. Today, the firm provides a broad range of legal services to its individual and corporate clients engaged nationally and internationally in a variety of industries; including consumer products, retailing, forestry, transportation, computer services, insurance, investment banking, poultry and other food products, and financial services. Members of the firm are active in professional organizations and are frequent lecturers in continuing legal education programs.
