In 2008, Annamarie obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. As a law student, Annamarie indented with Arizona Capital Representation Project and conducted research for appellate briefs in death penalty cases. She also participated in the University of Arizona Civil Rights Restoration clinic assisting ex-felons in restoring their rights. In 2005, Annamarie received her Master's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona where she was named a Foreign Language Areas Studies (FLAS) Fellow and focused her studies on Portuguese and race relations in Brazil.
